  • Program Stipend: Up to $3000 per team*
  • Application Deadline: Fall Deadline has passed
  • Preference will be given to proposals that include both undergraduate and graduate student researchers.

Purpose
The community-based research (CBR) initiation grant provides funds to faculty, student and community partner teams to advance research on community-identified needs. An important goal of UNCG’s CBR grants is to provide students with opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills for active civic engagement. To this end, the Office of Undergraduate Research offers an additional $1000 research stipend to undergraduate students for a total grant amount of $2000. (*$1,000 for the faculty member, $1,000 if a graduate student is involved, and the Office of Undergraduate Research provides an additional $1,000 if an undergraduate student is involved.)
